Textual content description offered by the architects. The Sola Church is designed to be the brand new gathering area within the city of Sola. Situated on the finish of the principle road, it’s the first of its type within the city middle and has a big presence within the city area. Designed for each religious congregations and as a social gathering area, the church redefines the identification of the small city. The up to date church and current city middle exist in symbiosis. The nave is positioned as a direct extension of the principle road making a plaza for each the church and city. This supplies the city with an energetic termination of the principle road and the church with an city area that opens as much as its environment.

Predominant Gesture. The church’s nave is positioned as a direct extension of the principle road axis. Reverse the city corridor, the 2 buildings kind a brand new plaza with a steady inexperienced park as a backdrop. The church, together with the brand new city and leisure area, redefines the identification of Sola.

The Nave. The nave is designed as a symmetrical area offering a relaxed and balanced expertise. The north wall of the principle nave is designed with a gradual filtration of the northern mild offering depth and a transparent path within the nave. Behind the altar, an enormous artwork piece by native artist Marie Buskov is put in, giving the church its identification and a religious environment.



Pure Lighting. Louvered home windows with stained glass cowl the gabled roof permitting ambient mild to filter by and fill the sacred area.
