Textual content description offered by the architects. The design of this mission was a journey of discovery. The unique idea was half submerged within the rise of the panorama. Because the idea navigated all of the difficult circumstances of the positioning/setting and finances, a contradictory technique emerged. There appeared no cause to cover the constructing within the panorama. It was positioned in a rural setting, not in a pure forest. The constructing took on a monumental type of materiality and construction, anchored with unapologetic energy of presence into its panorama.

The location was predominantly flat with a top degree change of roughly three meters alongside its northern facet. That is the place the constructing was set. Other than the necessity to find the constructing above the flood plain, the orientation of the positioning offered a design problem. With expansive views throughout native vegetation to the south, the architectural response was to open the home to those views and concurrently create the chance of introducing skylights and courtyards to scrub the inside with northern daylight.

The constructing consists of two interconnected raking roofs, every sitting above a masonry field. The spatial planning and a concrete and metal construction and framing system, give the constructing its visible energy and outline the architectural language.
